Mark 14:1	^aIt was now two days before ^bthe Passover and the Feast of Unleavened Bread. And the chief priests and the scribes ^cwere seeking how to arrest him by stealth and kill him,	Ἦν δὲ τὸ πάσχα καὶ τὰ ἄζυμα μετὰ δύο ἡμέρας. καὶ ἐζήτουν οἱ ἀρχιερεῖς καὶ οἱ γραμματεῖς πῶς αὐτὸν ἐν δόλῳ κρατήσαντες ἀποκτείνωσιν,
Mark 14:2	for they said, “Not during the feast, ^dlest there be an uproar from the people.”	ἔλεγον ^{▼▼ γάρ = WH Treg NA/NIV: \|\| δέ = RP} γάρ· Μὴ ἐν τῇ ἑορτῇ, μήποτε ^{▼▼ ἔσται θόρυβος = WH Treg NA/NIV: \|\| θόρυβος ἔσται = RP} ἔσται θόρυβος ⸃ τοῦ λαοῦ.
Mark 14:3	^gAnd while he was at ^hBethany in the house of Simon the leper, ^{▼▼Leprosy was a term for several skin diseases; see Leviticus 13} as he was reclining at table, a woman came with an alabaster flask of ointment of pure nard, very costly, and she broke the flask and poured it over his head.	Καὶ ὄντος αὐτοῦ ἐν Βηθανίᾳ ἐν τῇ οἰκίᾳ Σίμωνος τοῦ λεπροῦ κατακειμένου αὐτοῦ ἦλθεν γυνὴ ἔχουσα ἀλάβαστρον μύρου νάρδου πιστικῆς πολυτελοῦς· ^{▼▼ συντρίψασα = WH NA/NIV: \|\| καὶ συντρίψασα = Treg RP} συντρίψασα ^{▼▼ τὴν = WH Treg NA/NIV: \|\| τὸ = RP} τὴν ἀλάβαστρον κατέχεεν ^{▼▼ αὐτοῦ = WH Treg NA/NIV: \|\| αὐτοῦ κατὰ = RP} αὐτοῦ τῆς κεφαλῆς.
Mark 14:4	There were some who said to themselves indignantly, “Why was the ointment wasted like that?	ἦσαν δέ τινες ἀγανακτοῦντες πρὸς ^{▼▼ ἑαυτούς = WH NA/NIV: \|\| ἑαυτούς καὶ λέγοντες = Treg RP} ἑαυτούς· Εἰς τί ἡ ἀπώλεια αὕτη τοῦ μύρου γέγονεν;
Mark 14:5	For this ointment could have been sold for more than three hundred denarii ^{▼▼A denarius was a day’s wage for a laborer} and ^ogiven to the poor.” And they ^pscolded her.	ἠδύνατο γὰρ τοῦτο ^{▼▼ τὸ μύρον = WH Treg NA/NIV: \|\| [omit] = RP} τὸ μύρον ⸃ πραθῆναι ἐπάνω ^{▼▼ δηναρίων τριακοσίων = WH Treg NA/NIV: \|\| τριακοσίων δηναρίων = RP} δηναρίων τριακοσίων ⸃ καὶ δοθῆναι τοῖς πτωχοῖς· καὶ ἐνεβριμῶντο αὐτῇ.
Mark 14:6	But Jesus said, “Leave her alone. Why do you trouble her? She has done a beautiful thing to me.	ὁ δὲ Ἰησοῦς εἶπεν· Ἄφετε αὐτήν· τί αὐτῇ κόπους παρέχετε; καλὸν ἔργον ἠργάσατο ἐν ἐμοί·
Mark 14:7	For ^syou always have the poor with you, and whenever ^tyou want, you can do good for them. But ^uyou will not always have me.	πάντοτε γὰρ τοὺς πτωχοὺς ἔχετε μεθ᾽ ἑαυτῶν, καὶ ὅταν θέλητε δύνασθε ^{▼▼ αὐτοῖς = NA/NIV Treg: \|\| αὐτοῖς πάντοτε = WH; \|\| αὐτοὺς = RP} αὐτοῖς εὖ ποιῆσαι, ἐμὲ δὲ οὐ πάντοτε ἔχετε·
Mark 14:8	^wShe has done what she could; she has anointed my body beforehand ^xfor burial.	ὃ ^{▼▼ ἔσχεν = WH NA/NIV: \|\| ἔσχεν αὕτη = Treg RP} ἔσχεν ἐποίησεν, προέλαβεν μυρίσαι ^{▼▼ τὸ σῶμά μου = WH Treg NA/NIV: \|\| μου τὸ σῶμα = RP} τὸ σῶμά μου ⸃ εἰς τὸν ἐνταφιασμόν.
Mark 14:9	And truly, I say to you, wherever ^aathe gospel is proclaimed in the whole world, what she has done will be told ^abin memory of her.”	ἀμὴν ^{▼▼ δὲ = WH Treg NA/NIV: \|\| [omit] = RP} δὲ λέγω ὑμῖν, ὅπου ^{▼▼ ἐὰν = WH NA/NIV RP: \|\| ἂν = Treg} ἐὰν κηρυχθῇ τὸ ^{▼▼ εὐαγγέλιον = WH Treg NA/NIV: \|\| εὐαγγέλιον τοῦτο = RP} εὐαγγέλιον εἰς ὅλον τὸν κόσμον, καὶ ὃ ἐποίησεν αὕτη λαληθήσεται εἰς μνημόσυνον αὐτῆς.

Mark 14:11	And when they heard it, they were glad and promised to give him money. And he sought an opportunity to ^albetray him.	οἱ δὲ ἀκούσαντες ἐχάρησαν καὶ ἐπηγγείλαντο αὐτῷ ἀργύριον δοῦναι. καὶ ἐζήτει πῶς ^{▼▼ αὐτὸν εὐκαίρως παραδοῖ = WH Treg NA/NIV: \|\| εὐκαίρως αὐτὸν παραδῷ = RP} αὐτὸν εὐκαίρως παραδοῖ ⸃.
Mark 14:12	^anAnd on ^aothe first day of Unleavened Bread, when they ^apsacrificed the Passover lamb, his disciples said to him, “Where will you have us go and prepare for you to eat the Passover?”	Καὶ τῇ πρώτῃ ἡμέρᾳ τῶν ἀζύμων, ὅτε τὸ πάσχα ἔθυον, λέγουσιν αὐτῷ οἱ μαθηταὶ αὐτοῦ· Ποῦ θέλεις ἀπελθόντες ἑτοιμάσωμεν ἵνα φάγῃς τὸ πάσχα;
Mark 14:13	And he sent ^aqtwo of his disciples and said to them, “Go into the city, and a man carrying a jar of water will meet you. Follow him,	καὶ ἀποστέλλει δύο τῶν μαθητῶν αὐτοῦ καὶ λέγει αὐτοῖς· Ὑπάγετε εἰς τὴν πόλιν, καὶ ἀπαντήσει ὑμῖν ἄνθρωπος κεράμιον ὕδατος βαστάζων· ἀκολουθήσατε αὐτῷ,
Mark 14:14	and wherever he enters, say to the master of the house, ^ar‘The Teacher says, Where is ^asmy guest room, where I may eat the Passover with my disciples?’	καὶ ὅπου ^{▼▼ ἐὰν = WH NA/NIV RP: \|\| ἂν = Treg} ἐὰν εἰσέλθῃ εἴπατε τῷ οἰκοδεσπότῃ ὅτι Ὁ διδάσκαλος λέγει· Ποῦ ἐστιν τὸ κατάλυμά ^{▼▼ μου = WH Treg NA/NIV: \|\| [omit] = RP} μου ὅπου τὸ πάσχα μετὰ τῶν μαθητῶν μου φάγω;
Mark 14:15	And he will show you ^ava large upper room furnished and ready; there prepare for us.”	καὶ αὐτὸς ὑμῖν δείξει ἀνάγαιον μέγα ἐστρωμένον ἕτοιμον· ^{▼▼ καὶ = WH Treg NA/NIV: \|\| [omit] = RP} καὶ ἐκεῖ ἑτοιμάσατε ἡμῖν.
Mark 14:16	And the disciples set out and went to the city and found it just as he had told them, and they prepared the Passover.	καὶ ἐξῆλθον οἱ ^{▼▼ μαθηταὶ = WH NA/NIV: \|\| μαθηταὶ αὐτοῦ = Treg RP} μαθηταὶ καὶ ἦλθον εἰς τὴν πόλιν καὶ εὗρον καθὼς εἶπεν αὐτοῖς, καὶ ἡτοίμασαν τὸ πάσχα.
Mark 14:17	^ayAnd when it was evening, he came with the twelve.	Καὶ ὀψίας γενομένης ἔρχεται μετὰ τῶν δώδεκα.
Mark 14:18	And as they were reclining at table and eating, ^azJesus said, “Truly, I say to you, one of you will betray me, ^baone who is eating with me.”	καὶ ἀνακειμένων αὐτῶν καὶ ἐσθιόντων ^{▼▼ ὁ Ἰησοῦς εἶπεν = WH NA/NIV: \|\| εἶπεν ὁ Ἰησοῦς = Treg RP} ὁ Ἰησοῦς εἶπεν ⸃· Ἀμὴν λέγω ὑμῖν ὅτι εἷς ἐξ ὑμῶν παραδώσει με ὁ ἐσθίων μετ᾽ ἐμοῦ.
Mark 14:19	They began to be sorrowful and to say to him one after another, “Is it I?”	^{▼▼ ἤρξαντο = WH NA/NIV: \|\| οἱ δὲ ἤρξαντο = Treg RP} ἤρξαντο λυπεῖσθαι καὶ λέγειν αὐτῷ εἷς κατὰ εἷς· Μήτι ^{▼▼ ἐγώ = WH Treg NA/NIV: \|\| ἐγώ Καὶ ἄλλος Μήτι ἐγώ = RP} ἐγώ;
Mark 14:20	He said to them, “It is ^beone of the twelve, ^bfone who is dipping bread into the dish with me.	ὁ ^{▼▼ δὲ = WH Treg NA/NIV: \|\| δὲ ἀποκριθεὶς = RP} δὲ εἶπεν αὐτοῖς· ^{▼▼ Εἷς = WH NA/NIV: \|\| Εἷς ἐκ = Treg RP} Εἷς τῶν δώδεκα, ὁ ἐμβαπτόμενος μετ᾽ ἐμοῦ εἰς ^{▼▼ τὸ = Treg NA/NIV RP: \|\| τὸ ἓν = WH} τὸ τρύβλιον·
Mark 14:21	For the Son of Man goes ^bjas it is written of him, but ^bkwoe to that man by whom the Son of Man is betrayed! ^blIt would have been better for that man if he had not been born.”	^{▼▼ ὅτι = WH Treg NA/NIV: \|\| [omit] = RP} ὅτι ὁ μὲν υἱὸς τοῦ ἀνθρώπου ὑπάγει καθὼς γέγραπται περὶ αὐτοῦ, οὐαὶ δὲ τῷ ἀνθρώπῳ ἐκείνῳ δι᾽ οὗ ὁ υἱὸς τοῦ ἀνθρώπου παραδίδοται· ^{▼▼ καλὸν = WH NA/NIV: \|\| καλὸν ἦν = Treg RP} καλὸν αὐτῷ εἰ οὐκ ἐγεννήθη ὁ ἄνθρωπος ἐκεῖνος.
Mark 14:22	^boAnd as they were eating, he took bread, and after ^bpblessing it broke it and gave it to them, and said, “Take; ^bqthis is my body.”	Καὶ ἐσθιόντων αὐτῶν ^{▼▼ λαβὼν = WH NA: \|\| λαβὼν ὁ Ἰησοῦς = Treg NIV RP} λαβὼν ἄρτον εὐλογήσας ἔκλασεν καὶ ἔδωκεν αὐτοῖς καὶ εἶπεν· ^{▼▼ Λάβετε = WH Treg NA/NIV: \|\| Λάβετε φάγετε = RP} Λάβετε, τοῦτό ἐστιν τὸ σῶμά μου.
Mark 14:23	And he took a cup, and when he had ^btgiven thanks he gave it to them, and they all drank of it.	καὶ ^{▼▼ λαβὼν = WH Treg NA/NIV: \|\| λαβὼν τὸ = RP} λαβὼν ποτήριον εὐχαριστήσας ἔδωκεν αὐτοῖς, καὶ ἔπιον ἐξ αὐτοῦ πάντες.
Mark 14:24	And he said to them, ^bv“This is my ^bwblood of the ^{▼▼Some manuscripts insert new} covenant, which is poured out for ^bymany.	καὶ εἶπεν αὐτοῖς· Τοῦτό ἐστιν τὸ αἷμά μου ^{▼▼ τῆς = WH NA/NIV: \|\| τὸ τῆς = Treg; \|\| τὸ τῆς καινῆς = RP} τῆς διαθήκης τὸ ^{▼▼ ἐκχυννόμενον ὑπὲρ πολλῶν = WH Treg NA/NIV: \|\| περὶ πολλῶν ἐκχυνόμενον = RP} ἐκχυννόμενον ὑπὲρ πολλῶν ⸃.
Mark 14:25	Truly, I say to you, I will not drink again of the fruit of the vine until that day when I drink it new in the kingdom of God.”	ἀμὴν λέγω ὑμῖν ὅτι οὐκέτι οὐ μὴ πίω ἐκ τοῦ γενήματος τῆς ἀμπέλου ἕως τῆς ἡμέρας ἐκείνης ὅταν αὐτὸ πίνω καινὸν ἐν τῇ βασιλείᾳ τοῦ θεοῦ.
Mark 14:26	^cbAnd when they had sung a hymn, ^ccthey went out to ^cdthe Mount of Olives.	Καὶ ὑμνήσαντες ἐξῆλθον εἰς τὸ Ὄρος τῶν Ἐλαιῶν.
Mark 14:27	And Jesus said to them, “You will all fall away, for it is written, ‘I will ^cestrike the shepherd, and the sheep will be scattered.’	Καὶ λέγει αὐτοῖς ὁ Ἰησοῦς ὅτι Πάντες ^{▼▼ σκανδαλισθήσεσθε = WH Treg NA/NIV: \|\| σκανδαλισθήσεσθε ἐν ἐμοὶ ἐν τῇ νυκτὶ ταύτῃ = RP} σκανδαλισθήσεσθε, ὅτι γέγραπται· Πατάξω τὸν ποιμένα, καὶ ^{▼▼ τὰ πρόβατα διασκορπισθήσονται = WH Treg NA/NIV: \|\| διασκορπισθήσεται τὰ πρόβατα = RP} τὰ πρόβατα διασκορπισθήσονται ⸃.
Mark 14:28	But after I am raised up, ^chI will go before you to Galilee.”	ἀλλὰ μετὰ τὸ ἐγερθῆναί με προάξω ὑμᾶς εἰς τὴν Γαλιλαίαν.
Mark 14:29	^ciPeter said to him, “Even though they all fall away, I will not.”	ὁ δὲ Πέτρος ἔφη αὐτῷ· ^{▼▼ Εἰ καὶ = WH Treg NA/NIV: \|\| Καὶ εἰ = RP} Εἰ καὶ ⸃ πάντες σκανδαλισθήσονται, ἀλλ᾽ οὐκ ἐγώ.
Mark 14:30	And ^ckJesus said to him, “Truly, I tell you, this very night, before ^clthe rooster crows twice, you will deny me three times.”	καὶ λέγει αὐτῷ ὁ Ἰησοῦς· Ἀμὴν λέγω σοι ὅτι σὺ σήμερον ^{▼▼ ταύτῃ τῇ νυκτὶ = WH Treg NA/NIV: \|\| ἐν τῇ νυκτὶ ταύτῃ = RP} ταύτῃ τῇ νυκτὶ ⸃ πρὶν ἢ δὶς ἀλέκτορα φωνῆσαι τρίς ^{▼▼ με ἀπαρνήσῃ = WH Treg NA/NIV: \|\| ἀπαρνήσῃ με = RP} με ἀπαρνήσῃ ⸃.
Mark 14:31	But ^cohe said emphatically, “If I must die with you, I will not deny you.” And they all said the same.	ὁ δὲ ^{▼▼ ἐκπερισσῶς ἐλάλει = WH Treg NA/NIV: \|\| ἐκπερισσοῦ ἔλεγεν μᾶλλον = RP} ἐκπερισσῶς ἐλάλει ⸃· Ἐὰν ^{▼▼ δέῃ με = WH Treg NA/NIV: \|\| με δέῃ = RP} δέῃ με ⸃ συναποθανεῖν σοι, οὐ μή σε ^{▼▼ ἀπαρνήσομαι = WH Treg NA/NIV: \|\| ἀπαρνήσωμαι = RP} ἀπαρνήσομαι. ὡσαύτως δὲ καὶ πάντες ἔλεγον.
Mark 14:32	^csAnd they went ^ctto a place called Gethsemane. And he said to his disciples, “Sit here while I pray.”	Καὶ ἔρχονται εἰς χωρίον οὗ τὸ ὄνομα Γεθσημανί, καὶ λέγει τοῖς μαθηταῖς αὐτοῦ· Καθίσατε ὧδε ἕως προσεύξωμαι.
Mark 14:33	And he took with him ^cuPeter and James and John, and began ^cvto be greatly distressed and troubled.	καὶ παραλαμβάνει τὸν Πέτρον καὶ ^{▼▼ Ἰάκωβον καὶ = Treg NIV RP: \|\| τὸν Ἰάκωβον καὶ τὸν = WH NA} Ἰάκωβον καὶ ⸃ Ἰωάννην μετ᾽ ^{▼▼ αὐτοῦ = WH Treg NA/NIV: \|\| ἑαυτοῦ = RP} αὐτοῦ, καὶ ἤρξατο ἐκθαμβεῖσθαι καὶ ἀδημονεῖν,
Mark 14:34	And he said to them, ^cy“My soul is very sorrowful, even to death. Remain here and ^czwatch.” ^{▼▼Or keep awake; also verses 37, 38}	καὶ λέγει αὐτοῖς· Περίλυπός ἐστιν ἡ ψυχή μου ἕως θανάτου· μείνατε ὧδε καὶ γρηγορεῖτε.
Mark 14:35	And going a little farther, he fell on the ground ^dband prayed that, if it were possible, ^dcthe hour might pass from him.	καὶ ^{▼▼ προελθὼν μικρὸν ἔπιπτεν = WH NA/NIV: \|\| προσελθὼν μικρὸν ἔπεσεν = Treg RP} προελθὼν μικρὸν ἔπιπτεν ⸃ ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς, καὶ προσηύχετο ἵνα εἰ δυνατόν ἐστιν παρέλθῃ ἀπ᾽ αὐτοῦ ἡ ὥρα,
Mark 14:36	And he said, ^de“Abba, Father, ^dfall things are possible for you. Remove ^dgthis cup from me. ^dhYet not what I will, but what you will.”	καὶ ἔλεγεν· Αββα ὁ πατήρ, πάντα δυνατά σοι· παρένεγκε τὸ ποτήριον ^{▼▼ τοῦτο ἀπ᾽ ἐμοῦ = WH Treg NA/NIV: \|\| ἀπ᾽ ἐμοῦ τοῦτο = RP} τοῦτο ἀπ᾽ ἐμοῦ ⸃· ἀλλ᾽ οὐ τί ἐγὼ θέλω ἀλλὰ τί σύ.
Mark 14:37	And he came and found them sleeping, and he said to Peter, “Simon, are you asleep? Could you not watch one hour?	καὶ ἔρχεται καὶ εὑρίσκει αὐτοὺς καθεύδοντας, καὶ λέγει τῷ Πέτρῳ· Σίμων, καθεύδεις; οὐκ ἴσχυσας μίαν ὥραν γρηγορῆσαι;
Mark 14:38	^djWatch and ^dkpray that you may not ^dlenter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.”	γρηγορεῖτε καὶ προσεύχεσθε, ἵνα μὴ ^{▼▼ ἔλθητε = WH NA/NIV: \|\| εἰσέλθητε = Treg RP} ἔλθητε εἰς πειρασμόν· τὸ μὲν πνεῦμα πρόθυμον ἡ δὲ σὰρξ ἀσθενής.
Mark 14:39	And again he went away and prayed, ^dnsaying the same words.	καὶ πάλιν ἀπελθὼν προσηύξατο τὸν αὐτὸν λόγον εἰπών.
Mark 14:40	And again he came and found them sleeping, for ^dotheir eyes were very heavy, and ^dpthey did not know what to answer him.	καὶ ^{▼▼ πάλιν ἐλθὼν εὗρεν αὐτοὺς = WH NA/NIV: \|\| ἐλθὼν εὗρεν αὐτοὺς = Treg; \|\| ὑποστρέψας εὗρεν αὐτοὺς πάλιν = RP} πάλιν ἐλθὼν εὗρεν αὐτοὺς ⸃ καθεύδοντας, ἦσαν γὰρ ^{▼▼ αὐτῶν οἱ ὀφθαλμοὶ = WH NA/NIV: \|\| οἱ ὀφθαλμοὶ αὐτῶν = Treg RP} αὐτῶν οἱ ὀφθαλμοὶ ⸃ ^{▼▼ καταβαρυνόμενοι = WH Treg NA/NIV: \|\| βεβαρημένοι = RP} καταβαρυνόμενοι, καὶ οὐκ ᾔδεισαν τί ^{▼▼ ἀποκριθῶσιν αὐτῷ = WH Treg NA/NIV: \|\| αὐτῷ ἀποκριθῶσιν = RP} ἀποκριθῶσιν αὐτῷ ⸃.
Mark 14:41	And he came the third time and said to them, “Are you still sleeping and taking your rest? ^duIt is enough; ^dvthe hour has come. ^dwThe Son of Man is betrayed into the hands of sinners.	καὶ ἔρχεται τὸ τρίτον καὶ λέγει αὐτοῖς· Καθεύδετε ^{▼▼ τὸ = WH NA/NIV: \|\| [omit] = Treg RP} τὸ λοιπὸν καὶ ἀναπαύεσθε· ἀπέχει· ἦλθεν ἡ ὥρα, ἰδοὺ παραδίδοται ὁ υἱὸς τοῦ ἀνθρώπου εἰς τὰς χεῖρας τῶν ἁμαρτωλῶν.
Mark 14:42	Rise, let us be going; see, my betrayer is at hand.”	ἐγείρεσθε ἄγωμεν· ἰδοὺ ὁ παραδιδούς με ἤγγικεν.
Mark 14:43	^dyAnd immediately, while he was still speaking, ^dzJudas came, one of the twelve, and with him a crowd with swords and clubs, from the chief priests and the scribes and the elders.	Καὶ ^{▼▼ εὐθὺς = WH Treg NA/NIV: \|\| εὐθέως = RP} εὐθὺς ἔτι αὐτοῦ λαλοῦντος παραγίνεται ^{▼▼ Ἰούδας = NA/NIV RP: \|\| ὁ Ἰούδας = WH; \|\| ὁ Ἰούδας ὁ Ἰσκαριώτης = Treg} Ἰούδας ^{▼▼ εἷς = WH Treg NA/NIV: \|\| εἷς ὢν = RP} εἷς τῶν δώδεκα καὶ μετ᾽ αὐτοῦ ^{▼▼ ὄχλος = WH Treg NA/NIV: \|\| ὄχλος πολὺς = RP} ὄχλος μετὰ μαχαιρῶν καὶ ξύλων παρὰ τῶν ἀρχιερέων καὶ τῶν γραμματέων καὶ τῶν πρεσβυτέρων.
Mark 14:44	Now the betrayer had given them a sign, saying, “The one I will kiss is the man. Mark 14:48	And Jesus said to them, “Have you come out as against a robber, with swords and clubs to capture me?	καὶ ἀποκριθεὶς ὁ Ἰησοῦς εἶπεν αὐτοῖς· Ὡς ἐπὶ λῃστὴν ἐξήλθατε μετὰ μαχαιρῶν καὶ ξύλων συλλαβεῖν με;

Mark 14:53	^eyAnd ^ezthey led Jesus to the high priest. And all the chief priests and the elders and the scribes came together. And he was sitting with ^ffthe guards and ^fgwarming himself at the fire.	καὶ ὁ Πέτρος ἀπὸ μακρόθεν ἠκολούθησεν αὐτῷ ἕως ἔσω εἰς τὴν αὐλὴν τοῦ ἀρχιερέως καὶ ἦν συγκαθήμενος μετὰ τῶν ὑπηρετῶν καὶ θερμαινόμενος πρὸς τὸ φῶς.
Mark 14:55	Now the chief priests and the whole council ^{▼▼Greek Sanhedrin} were seeking testimony against Jesus to put him to death, but they found none.	οἱ δὲ ἀρχιερεῖς καὶ ὅλον τὸ συνέδριον ἐζήτουν κατὰ τοῦ Ἰησοῦ μαρτυρίαν εἰς τὸ θανατῶσαι αὐτόν, καὶ οὐχ ηὕρισκον·
Mark 14:56	^fiFor many bore false witness against him, but their testimony ^fjdid not agree.	πολλοὶ γὰρ ἐψευδομαρτύρουν κατ᾽ αὐτοῦ, καὶ ἴσαι αἱ μαρτυρίαι οὐκ ἦσαν.
Mark 14:57	And some stood up and bore false witness against him, saying,	καί τινες ἀναστάντες ἐψευδομαρτύρουν κατ᾽ αὐτοῦ λέγοντες
Mark 14:58	^fk“We heard him say, ^fl‘I will destroy this temple ^fmthat is made with hands, and in three days I will build another, ^fnnot made with hands.’”	ὅτι Ἡμεῖς ἠκούσαμεν αὐτοῦ λέγοντος ὅτι Ἐγὼ καταλύσω τὸν ναὸν τοῦτον τὸν χειροποίητον καὶ διὰ τριῶν ἡμερῶν ἄλλον ἀχειροποίητον οἰκοδομήσω·
Mark 14:59	Yet even about this their testimony did not agree.	καὶ οὐδὲ οὕτως ἴση ἦν ἡ μαρτυρία αὐτῶν.
Mark 14:60	And the high priest stood up in the midst and asked Jesus, “Have you no answer to make? What is it that these men testify against you?” ^{▼▼Or Have you no answer to what these men testify against you?}	καὶ ἀναστὰς ὁ ἀρχιερεὺς εἰς μέσον ἐπηρώτησεν τὸν Ἰησοῦν λέγων· Οὐκ ἀποκρίνῃ οὐδέν; τί οὗτοί σου καταμαρτυροῦσιν;

Mark 14:62	And Jesus said, “I am, and ^fuyou will see the Son of Man ^fvseated at the right hand of Power, and ^fwcoming with the clouds of heaven.”	ὁ δὲ Ἰησοῦς εἶπεν· Ἐγώ εἰμι, καὶ ὄψεσθε τὸν υἱὸν τοῦ ἀνθρώπου ἐκ δεξιῶν καθήμενον τῆς δυνάμεως καὶ ἐρχόμενον μετὰ τῶν νεφελῶν τοῦ οὐρανοῦ.
Mark 14:63	And the high priest ^fxtore his garments and said, “What further witnesses do we need?	ὁ δὲ ἀρχιερεὺς διαρρήξας τοὺς χιτῶνας αὐτοῦ λέγει· Τί ἔτι χρείαν ἔχομεν μαρτύρων;
Mark 14:64	You have heard ^fyhis blasphemy. What is your decision?” And they ^fzall condemned him as ^gadeserving death.	ἠκούσατε τῆς βλασφημίας· τί ὑμῖν φαίνεται; οἱ δὲ πάντες κατέκριναν αὐτὸν ^{▼▼ ἔνοχον εἶναι = WH Treg NA/NIV: \|\| εἶναι ἔνοχον = RP} ἔνοχον εἶναι ⸃ θανάτου.

Mark 15:1	^hbAnd as soon as it was morning, the chief priests ^hcheld a consultation with the elders and scribes and the whole council. And ^hdthey bound Jesus and ^heled him away and ^hfdelivered him over to ^hgPilate. Mark 15:3	And the chief priests accused him of many things.	καὶ κατηγόρουν αὐτοῦ οἱ ἀρχιερεῖς πολλά.
Mark 15:4	And Pilate again asked him, ^hn“Have you no answer to make? See how many charges they bring against you.”	ὁ δὲ Πιλᾶτος πάλιν ^{▼▼ ἐπηρώτα = WH Treg NA/NIV: \|\| ἐπηρώτησεν = RP} ἐπηρώτα αὐτὸν λέγων· Οὐκ ἀποκρίνῃ οὐδέν; ἴδε πόσα σου ^{▼▼ κατηγοροῦσιν = WH Treg NA/NIV: \|\| καταμαρτυροῦσιν = RP} κατηγοροῦσιν.
Mark 15:5	But Jesus ^hqmade no further answer, so that Pilate was amazed.	ὁ δὲ Ἰησοῦς οὐκέτι οὐδὲν ἀπεκρίθη, ὥστε θαυμάζειν τὸν Πιλᾶτον.
Mark 15:6	^hrNow at the feast he used to release for them one prisoner for whom they asked.	Κατὰ δὲ ἑορτὴν ἀπέλυεν αὐτοῖς ἕνα δέσμιον ^{▼▼ ὃν παρῃτοῦντο = WH NA/NIV: \|\| ὅνπερ ᾐτοῦντο = Treg RP} ὃν παρῃτοῦντο ⸃.
Mark 15:7	And among the rebels in prison, who had ^htcommitted murder ^huin the insurrection, there was a man called Barabbas.	ἦν δὲ ὁ λεγόμενος Βαραββᾶς μετὰ τῶν ^{▼▼ στασιαστῶν = WH Treg NA/NIV: \|\| συστασιαστῶν = RP} στασιαστῶν δεδεμένος οἵτινες ἐν τῇ στάσει φόνον πεποιήκεισαν.
Mark 15:8	And the crowd came up and began to ask Pilate to do as he usually did for them.	καὶ ^{▼▼ ἀναβὰς = WH Treg NA/NIV: \|\| ἀναβοήσας = RP} ἀναβὰς ὁ ὄχλος ἤρξατο αἰτεῖσθαι ^{▼▼ καθὼς = WH NA/NIV: \|\| καθὼς ἀεὶ = Treg RP} καθὼς ἐποίει αὐτοῖς.
Mark 15:9	And he answered them, saying, “Do you want me to release for you the King of the Jews?”	ὁ δὲ Πιλᾶτος ἀπεκρίθη αὐτοῖς λέγων· Θέλετε ἀπολύσω ὑμῖν τὸν βασιλέα τῶν Ἰουδαίων;
Mark 15:10	For he perceived that ^hyit was out of envy that the chief priests had delivered him up.	ἐγίνωσκεν γὰρ ὅτι διὰ φθόνον παραδεδώκεισαν αὐτὸν οἱ ἀρχιερεῖς.
Mark 15:11	But the chief priests stirred up the crowd to have him release for them Barabbas instead.	οἱ δὲ ἀρχιερεῖς ἀνέσεισαν τὸν ὄχλον ἵνα μᾶλλον τὸν Βαραββᾶν ἀπολύσῃ αὐτοῖς.
Mark 15:12	And Pilate again said to them, “Then what shall I do with ^hzthe man you call the King of the Jews?”	ὁ δὲ Πιλᾶτος ^{▼▼ πάλιν ἀποκριθεὶς ἔλεγεν = WH Treg NA/NIV: \|\| ἀποκριθεὶς πάλιν εἶπεν = RP} πάλιν ἀποκριθεὶς ἔλεγεν ⸃ αὐτοῖς· Τί οὖν ^{▼▼ θέλετε = Treg RP NA: \|\| [omit] = WH NIV} θέλετε ποιήσω ^{▼▼ ὃν λέγετε = WH NA/NIV RP: \|\| [omit] = Treg} ὃν λέγετε ⸃ ^{▼▼ τὸν = WH Treg NA/NIV: \|\| [omit] = RP} τὸν βασιλέα τῶν Ἰουδαίων;
Mark 15:13	And they cried out again, “Crucify him.”	οἱ δὲ πάλιν ἔκραξαν· Σταύρωσον αὐτόν.

Mark 15:15	So Pilate, wishing to satisfy the crowd, released for them Barabbas, and having ^ihscourged ^{▼▼A Roman judicial penalty, consisting of a severe beating with a multi-lashed whip containing imbedded pieces of bone and metal} Jesus, he delivered him to be crucified.	ὁ δὲ Πιλᾶτος βουλόμενος τῷ ὄχλῳ τὸ ἱκανὸν ποιῆσαι ἀπέλυσεν αὐτοῖς τὸν Βαραββᾶν, καὶ παρέδωκεν τὸν Ἰησοῦν φραγελλώσας ἵνα σταυρωθῇ.
Mark 15:16	^ijAnd the soldiers led him away inside ^ikthe palace (that is, ^ilthe governor’s headquarters), ^{▼▼Greek the praetorium} and they called together the whole ⁱⁿbattalion. ^{▼▼Greek cohort; a tenth of a Roman legion, usually about 600 men}	Οἱ δὲ στρατιῶται ἀπήγαγον αὐτὸν ἔσω τῆς αὐλῆς, ὅ ἐστιν πραιτώριον, καὶ συγκαλοῦσιν ὅλην τὴν σπεῖραν.
Mark 15:17	And they clothed him in ^ipa purple cloak, and twisting together a crown of thorns, they put it on him.	καὶ ^{▼▼ ἐνδιδύσκουσιν = WH Treg NA/NIV: \|\| ἐνδύουσιν = RP} ἐνδιδύσκουσιν αὐτὸν πορφύραν καὶ περιτιθέασιν αὐτῷ πλέξαντες ἀκάνθινον στέφανον·

Mark 15:21	^jaAnd they compelled a passerby, Simon of Cyrene, who was coming in from the country, the father of Alexander and Rufus, to carry his cross.	Καὶ ἀγγαρεύουσιν παράγοντά τινα Σίμωνα Κυρηναῖον ἐρχόμενον ἀπ᾽ ἀγροῦ, τὸν πατέρα Ἀλεξάνδρου καὶ Ῥούφου, ἵνα ἄρῃ τὸν σταυρὸν αὐτοῦ.
